We follow all of the recent guidelines set by the American Dental Association (ADA):
In our reception room - all magazines have been removed to eliminate that source of cross contamination between patients, and many chairs have been removed to facilitate social distancing. You will be asked to wear your mask into our office until you reach the treatment room. All patients will be asked to rinse with a dilute hydrogen peroxide solution, which has been proven to reduce virus concentration.
Infection control - we will be observing our usual comprehensive procedures including wearing masks, gloves with frequent handwashing, sterilizing all instruments, and disinfecting all surfaces including doorknobs.
Clinical staff now wear higher filtration level masks, often with face shields.
In the Operatories - Each room has an air filtration unit which helps remove virus particles, including COVID, from the air.
Temperature checks - we take our own temperatures daily, and will take yours when you arrive, along with giving you a brief series of verbal screening questions.
